IMPLEMENTATION OF CoS REPORT/VI CPC RECOMMENDATIONS- NOTIONAL CLASSIFICIATION ALLOWANCE/REMOVAL OF 33 YEARS OF SERVICE FOR EARNING FULL PENSION (FOR AF PENSIONERS) - W.E.F. 1.1.2006

Now some good news Veteran brothers!

        Hope for some more benefits!!!

It is Official and the CoS Grind is on the Move, Rather slowly!!!

The benefit of 20 years service for full pension (which was given to the ORs) w.e.f. 1.1.2006, as per 6th CPC recommendations, now extended to all Commissioned Officers, thanks to CoS report.

Similarly the Classification Allowance granted w.e.f. 1.9.2008 (in r/o ORs),  as per 6th CPC recommendations, is now to be notionally calculated for the purpose of pension w.e.f. 1.1.2006.

  1. Dear Gavini Sir,
There is a news about 'encashment of leave in respect of Central Govt employees' at http://www.indianmilitary.info/2009/11/armed-forces-tribunal-is-now-functional.html. Is this benefit extended to Post 2006 defence pensioners also ?
    Thanks

  2. Dear Prasanna,

Regards, Since there is no mention of its applicability to Armed Forces Personers, they may have to wait for an order from MOD on similar lines.
